  • Animal fouling

    The Parish Council contracts Matrix Environmental to remove the dog waste from the dog waste bins. Any complaints relating to dog waste on the pavements, footways, etc around Market Bosworth should be made to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council who have a team to deal with this matter.

  • Bus stops and shelters

    The Parish Council is responsible for the bus shelter in the Market Square. If you have any concerns relating to this shelter please contact the Parish Council office.

  • Car parks

    Rectory Lane Car Park near the town centre. Other car parks in Market Bosworth are the Country Park Car Park, run by Leicestershire County Council, and the High School car park, which is available for public use during school term time and when there are special events in the town.

  • Community centres

    The Parish Council is not responsible for any community hall in Market Bosworth.   • Crime prevention

    Parish Councillor Mrs S Ward attends Crime and Safety Forum meetings where police matters are discussed and concerns of local residents can be passed to police officers and community support officers.

  • Disabled parking

    There is limited disabled parking available in Rectory Lane car park.

  • Dog litter bins

    Placed regularly around the town, responsiblity for emptying these is contracted by the Parish Council to Matrix Environmental. If you have any concerns relating to these please contact the Parish Council office.

  • Entertainment and events

    The Parish Council works in partnership with the Bosworth Chamber of Trade and Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council to provide entertainment for the four Thursdays before Christmas each year, to accompany late night shopping nights. The Parish Council also provides help to Bosworth in Bloom and makes financial contribution to Market Bosworth Festival Ltd.

  • Parks and gardens

    The Parish Council is responsible for maintenance of the Memorial Garden on Park Street

  • Playgrounds

    Heath Road Play Area, sited on the corner of Heath Road and Godson's Hill, has play equipment suitable for use by children up to the age of 14.

  • Public conveniences

    Public conveniences are located at the car park in the Country Park, and in Back Lane, just off the Market Square.

  • Public meetings

    Members of the public are welcome to attend all Parish Council meetings.

  • Recycling (waste)

    There is a recycling collection point for plastic bottles in the High School car park, Back Lane.
